It makes great coffee and is quick! Things I did to make cleaning life easier 1. I just use lavazza gold fine ground as I don’t have a grinder and it was to much work to go to the store that grinds 2. I ditched the cheese cloth filter hard to clean and with fine ground you don’t need it 3.I don’t weigh the coffee. 4 scoops from scoop/ brush provided or 5 scoops if you want it stronger Makes the process easier and fabulous coffee:)

Rated 5 out of 5 by Brewster from Great easy to makecoffee and NO PODS! I have used this brewer for a month and the family are very happy enjoying the full bodied flavor coffee it makes. It is easy to use with the bonus of the aroma of freshly brewed coffee wafting through the house.We have experimented with different coffee brands and found that even using the more expensive coffee bean brands it is more economical than pods. This brewer makes a vastly superior tasting coffee than a pod machine and is more environmentally friendly. Cleaning is not an issue with coffee residue added to our compost bin. We love our KitchenAid coffee mate! .

Rated 5 out of 5 by Charles from Siphon coffee is good coffee Great tasting coffee, easy to use, a bit of effort to clean, but not as bad as some of the reviews I read. The siphon is no more difficult to clean than a plunger really. I use an Eve smart plug, I have it all set up the night before and once I’m awake I just tell Siri to make coffee and the machine goes to work. The pot is large enough for myself and my fiancé to have two large cups each in the morning, that what we use to have with our plunger. And the coffee is great tasting. I definitely want more kitchen aid products eventually.

Rated 3 out of 5 by Jason from Makes good coffee, but poor material quality Simple to use, makes clean and tasty brews. But I’ve had 2 of these and each one the plastic on the kettle lip has cracked and warped so I can’t put the siphon brew unit on them any more. :(

Best tasting coffee If you enjoy good coffee you probably already have an espresso machine but it takes sooo long to make for a group of guests it’s not practical. Plunger coffee is ok but this is brilliant. From the get go it’s fascinating to watch and the coffee you get at the end is so good I’d be tempted to forget my espresso machine , except that it is only worth using for two or more cups and I don’t drink that much coffee at one time.

Coming from years of using drip machines, now I understand what they mean about full, smooth coffee flavour with this method. No issues with the lock into place of the top beacon, afew extra things to clean but worth it. Highly recommend. Would like to stock up on cloth filter though, any info kleenmaid?

Rated 5 out of 5 by AlexB from Impressive! The coffee does taste better. You are clearly able to separate the differences between coffee brands using this method. It would be nice to have a feature that would keep the pot warm after brewing. The brewed coffee seems stay hot longer than any maker. Impressed with the durability... it looks more fragile than it is.

Rated 2 out of 5 by athwak from Handle failed on a great machine I've had this a few months and loved the coffee from it. Unfortunately, the plastic handle on the siphon glass fell apart making it really tricky to use. I sent it back and got a refund from the store and have been missing it since! Needs version 2.0 before I'll consider it again.
