Rated 5 out of 5 by Roland from Got exactly what I wanted in a hand mixer I ordered this online, 3 weeks before Christmas in my wife's favourite colour - Empire Red, thinking it would not be delivered in time for Christmas. But it arrived in that last week on my birthday - 23 Dec, 2 days before Christmas and just in time as my wife was baking 800 German style biscuits - so she used it straight away. I captured the whole thing on video.

I bought this because an American relation of mine had one and it had a grungy motor and was very quiet running with no high pitched screaming that most other hand held beaters have. When I got it though I was a bit disappointed because it was smaller and very anoying to turn on and off. Instead of the usual one action button that slides up it down to change the speed or turn it off it has a sideways switch and then an up or down arrow for soeed. It’s totally crazy and I probably wouldn’t have purchased it had I known. I guess I’ll get used to it but that’s the feature I really hate. It needs to be simple not having a two action operation to work it.

So powerful I bought this a month ago when my old one of 20 years (different brand) finally gave up and I realised that it wasn’t me that was the good baker, it was all down to my electric beater! My daughter commented “mum, it is so QUIET!!” And I had to reply “yes darling, that’s the sound of money” as that’s what my dearly departed sister always said when she bought something expensive and good quality!!! It does a fabulous job, looks amazing, all in all I love it. I also love the cloth bag that holds all the accessories, as opposed to some competitors beaters that I looked at with plastic containers - kitchenaid are a great brand.

Strong and sturdy accessories that make the beating of ingredients so quick and easy. I have used alla accessories bar the dough hooks at this stage and they all perform to a high standard and carry out their specific tasks quickly. Amazing wee appliance and well worth the money I paid for it. I was surprised how light it was considering how sturdy it is - that is an advantage in my opinion!! Thank you for another great piece of equipment for my kitchen.

I didn't need the big standing mixer, can't afford it either, but the little hand mixers rarely come with the wisk and the bread hooks... Also they tend to smell like burned plastic after a while, the motor can't handle big jobs. This one can! 4 attachments! Quality. Glad I "splurged" on it! I only had it for a couple of months now, I assume it will last forever, it's kitchenaid after all, but... on thing; the speed is displayed on a screen, it's lit, that part I hope won't break too soon.

Committing to an Artisan was a step too far for me - today - but the hand mixer is perfect. I love the aesthetic, it looks great and is balanced beautifully. I love the 9-speed selection and the digital display. It comes with all the attachments I’ll need initially. I absolutely will be recommending this product. It’s not going to be so great for preventing weight gain, but at least it’ll be pleasurable.

Rated 5 out of 5 by gpnz from awesome hand mixer I LOVE this machine, the different speeds allow for slow and fast mixing which is super handy so the flour/icing sugar doesn't go everywhere (we have all fallen victim to this). the additional attachments also are amazing for all the kinds of mixing you will ever need! I 100% would recommend this to a friend!!

Rated 5 out of 5 by Marj from I just love it! I’m not quite sure what it is in its design, but this mixer is very comfortable to hold on to. I look forward to pulling it out of the cupboard to work with every time. When I get it up to full speed it doesn’t sound like it has that much grunt, but it is super effective and beats and whips things up in no time. I have tried a fair few makes and models in the past, ones I’ve owned as well as those belonging to different family members, but I’m really happy to say this is my favourite so far!
