Another Kitchen gadget worth while!

We enjoy cooking, and making things from scratch. We purchased the Kitchen Aid Mixer 14 years ago, and have purchased several attachments over the years. We recently purchased this item because we use a lot of shredded cheese, shredded cabbage, and sliced lettuce. This attachment is easy to use, and store in a nice box that it comes in. shredded, sliced items purchased in the grocery store are expensive, and this has already proved itself to save us money. This attachment, like the others we have purchased, entice us to use the Kitchen Aid Mixer more often. Our thoughts are that the Kitchen Aid Mixer is more of a kitchen tool that aids in the preparation of old fashion home cooked meals.

I love my Kitchenaid mixer and all of the attachments I have purchased for it. The meat grinder and this shredder attachments are the 2 that I use on a regular basis. I have only used the shredder for cheese so far and it works wonderfully. I use it to shred blocks of cheddar and pepper jack and there is little mess to clean up afterwards, just wash everything up with hot soapy water and let dry. That's a lot easier than cleaning up all the mess that I make with the box grater and quicker. My husband will actually get in the kitchen and help me when I am using or experimenting with all of my attachments, I love that.
