Rated 1 out of 5 by ksam from Definitely not working for me Disappointed is an understatement. My previous entire mixer cost less than this attachment. I thought I was upgrading. I did not upgrade and I will go back to using my old $50 mixer. Even with this attachment and adjusting the machine as far as it will go, this just smears the ingredients on the side of the bowl (especially when creaming butter and sugar) so I did have to stop and manually scrape it off the sides more than one. When I went to pour my cake mixture into the cake tin, I discovered there was creamed butter and sugar stuck to the bottom of the bowl which hadn't been incorporated into the rest of the mixture. My heart feels heavy after making such a huge investment in this machine and attachment and finding out that the machine I had actually did a better job. When I first used this, it was even worse (which is why I had to adjust) and I actually ended up pouring the entire mixture into my old mixer to mix it properly. I'm definitely going to see if I can get a refund.

Rated 5 out of 5 by KMac from Excellent purchase This flex edge beater is fantastic- it cuts down on the mess of taking the bowl out to scrape the sides for batter and saves time too. The kids and I have been baking up a storm over school holidays and so have used this constantly since I bought it. This is a great edition to my great KitchenAide collection. I thoroughly recommend it.

I like it as there is no need to scrape the bowl when using it and the ingredients are mixed together well. Better than the flat beater. This accessory should have been included with the mixer as part of the set instead of the flat beater perhaps. Recommend it :)

Rated 5 out of 5 by Joanne from Game changer I absolutely love the paddle bowl scraper attachment, before I was carefully scraping the sides myself with a knife while the batter was mixing , now I never have to as it does it for me . So pleased ! I do however think these should come supplied with the mixer in the first place though .

I upgraded from a breville mixer and a flex blade was the one feature I really missed. It’s a pretty good scraper but it does sometimes miss patches as it doesn’t get close enough to the sides.

My other beater attachment is great but this is next level and stops things like butter and cream Cheese from getting stuck on the edge of the bowl and needing to use an additional spatula. A purchase well worth making.

She rates it higher than the standard beater that comes with the KitchenAid. Her rating is 8/10 but only because you still need to scrape around the upper edge of the mix.
