Rated 1 out of 5 by Renee08 from Bowl won't lock into place, dangerous I've had my mixer for a few years now, and all of a sudden, the bowl will not lock into place anymore. So if I'm beating anything thicker than egg whites, the bowl slowly moves out of place and eventually completely unlocks from the base and it's very dangerous and messy to turn the mixer off when the beater is still going and the bowl is getting tossed and turned around. Very disappointing.

Rated 1 out of 5 by MsMuffin from What happened to this bowl? It's total crap. I had the original bowl to my KSM90 Ultra Power stand mixer (made in the USA) for years and years. The solder holding the handle on the mixer finally gave out and I replaced the bowl with this recommended model. It didn't fit well from the start and now doesn't lock in place at all. I can only use the mixer if there is someone else here to add ingredients while I physically hold the bowl in place. And we're talking batter only -- too precarious and dangerous to try bread. I see a disaster coming with this method. KitchenAid, what happened to the quality this company has been famous for? What private equity firm bought and stripped it of any remnants of its reputation or legacy? I have to invest in a new stand mixer now, but it won't be a KitchenAid. I am so sad and disappointed. Another legacy company swallowed whole by a morbidly greedy mega-corporation. I am more than sad, I am angry.

Fits nicely in my classic mixer and performs well..clean up is easy in dishwasher and looks shiny when stored. Now I don't have to keep washing my single bowl if it's been used .highly recommend this product.

It is not the same design, looks a little cheaper and does not fit in your hand the same. That said, the bowl is exactly what I required as an additional bowl and you don't continually use the handle.
