I finally decided to buy it during a sale and I’m so glad I did. It toasts perfectly- so far each piece has been perfectly toasted on level 7. Crunchy on the outside, chewy on the inside. I would never have thought toasters would have such variation with how they performed before tying this model. We can’t stop eating toast! Sure, the beeping it makes is kinda annoying and a bit too loud but not a deal breaker. If you’re on the fence, go for it.

Rated 2 out of 5 by mrgadgetnz from Great Concept, Poor Execution I selected this toaster to replace our failing 10 year old 'other brand' toaster (also 4-slice, electric lift) as KitchenAid has such a great reputation and I've been impressed with many of their other appliances. Pros; * Coloured sides are nice.. that's about it. Cons; * Very slow to toast * Won't toast vogels (heavy bread) from the fridge in one go (7 + 4 just to get a light browning) - previous toaster would. * Smaller toast catches on the side on the way up and gets crushed nearly every time * Un-dampened knob feels like it's off a $30 toaster * Screen goes to sleep so you have to turn the knob or hit the toast button to see what it's set to * Toast/Done beep is loud and 'unrefined' for a $200+ toaster * Naked stainless steel marks terribly with oils making it very hard to keep looking nice Overall really tarnished my general opinion of KitchenAid.

Rated 3 out of 5 by Flightydan from Average toaster for the price My first Kitchenaid product and to be honest quite disappointed. Maybe just picky , but not a very solid toaster. The toast setting knob is super flimsy. Would have been nice just to be a touch button , like all the rest of them. Also no way to check toast progress. If you cancel the toast, the timer will reset. A beep to lower the toast seems a bit overkill. One on finishing would suffice. As per other reviews , the beep is unnecessarily loud. Would rather have purchased a Breville or similar for half the price.

Rated 4 out of 5 by Munty from Stylish simplicity Stylish, easy to use, browns perfectly. It's a little larger than expected but does an excellent job. Be careful your bread is flat and straight, my very first piece got stuck. Since then it's all been running smoothly!

Rated 5 out of 5 by Blossomind from Satisfactory product I have to admit I spent a lot during lockdown upgrading some kitchen appliances turning my little kitchen corner with the Empire Red and/or red theme by the KitchenAid. I bought this toaster last year and it’s been working absolutely well. I like the feature that we don’t have to slide down anything to start the toast, the result of toasted stuff are ideal to me and it will tell you once toasted stuff are ready. Easy design to clean. Overall, I’m very happy with the product.

Provides options for crumpets so they dont stick to the inside of your toaster, cooks toast evenly and quickly. I love the push button drop down and pop up function. Spoil yourself and get one, its great and you wont regret it!

It’s amazing, lovely even browning of the toast. The countdown bar is also very helpful, telling you when the toast is nearly done. It also look great! Thanks for an awesome product!

Rated 2 out of 5 by jcnz from So slow With a slice of vogels on the max setting it is not enough, you have to put it down twice. It takes ages. The elements are too far away. If toast gets stuck it lift up, then goes back down again, then up, then down... there is no lever to manually lift the toast higher and get out that tricky piece of bread.
