Rated 1 out of 5 by JDF1 from Costed beater attachments bubbled and chipped I have had my Kitchenaid mixer for approx 7 years. The coating on the attachments has been coming off from the first few months in hindsight. I thought I hadn’t set the height correctly but I had. And I’ve noticed the bubbling and chipping of the attachments is all over. This also occurred with the rubber sided attachment purchased. I tried to bring it to the attention of KitchenAid only to be told too bad it’s old and out of one year warranty, even though they knew it has been a major problem for years. Disappointing given the cost of the mixer, the obvious fault with the coated attachments and the expectation that you will have this mixer for a lifetime - doesn’t seem reasonable that the attachments are only covered for a year in comparison, particularly when they know a fault exists. I will be looking elsewhere for a mixer with attachments that don’t chip off their coating into my food items in the bowl.

It allows me to move from making a cake to a batch of buttercream icing without having to stop and wash everything up first.
