Fits onto the food grinder 5KSMFGAA** for processing/ puréeing soft fruits and cooked vegetables to make foods such as jams, purées, apple sauce, sauces and baby food. It strains the food to a purée and separates any pips, stems or skins so it’s not necessary to peel or core any product before putting into hopper. Dishwasher-safe.

I no longer have to deseed and boil the tomatoes down and pass through a mouli before bottling. After cutting the tomatoes into smaller pieces, I can process them raw with the Fruit and Vegetable Strainer separating the skins and seeds from the flesh. I can then put the flesh directly into the bottles for canning.

One tip - If you feel that too much of the produce is being wasted in the first run through, you can put it through the strainer a second time. That ensures every bit of goodness is extracted and leaves only a small bit of dry waste of seeds and skins.

Rated 5 out of 5 by Loeysmob from Surprising little Gem [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Bought this to make saucing a little easier this year and I love it. 70kg of tomatoes later and she still looks brand new. Easy to put together, easy to use, doesn't skip a beat. The only downside is cleaning the strainer bit. Hubby has work out how to do it without much effort now so that is perfect for me.
